Happy Thanksgiving Day Church

2 Corinthians 9:8-10
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

Since 1621 to this day, we join many across this country and even abroad in a season of gratitude. A time when we remember all that God has done for us and blessed us with throughout the year. As we recall how God has stood by our side, may we claim that as a reason to stand firm by His side.  Remember that despite what you may or may not be going through, God has proven Himself before and will be the same again and again.
There’s another point to consider on a day like this. Many of us have the luxuries of plenty food, shelter, clothing, jobs, education, and many “toys.” Most importantly we have the privilege of  having family and friends that truly love us and a church to attend. And don’t forget the opportunity of great food today and going shopping later today and tomorrow. However, with all of that, let’s not forget those who have none or little of that. Let’s not forget the needy and homeless around us, those with no family or friends, the unemployed, those who have suffered great loss (such as the Typhoon Victims and others around the world. Most importantly,  do not forget about those don’t know God. Don’t forget about the military men and women serving overseas.  And Don’t forget about the state of our nation today. As we bow our heads at the table for prayer, let us pray for all those mentioned and ask God how can we make a difference in any area He may call us to help in.  Even if it’s just in one area of the so many available to make a difference in. Main Point: Give Back what God has Given You. There you will find the greater blessing for you and those you bless!
Again, Happy ThanksGiving Day and May God Continually Bless Each and Every one of you!
Praise Be to God our Lord and May He Come Soon!
